Title

A substitute ordinance relating to 24-hour establishment license regulations, and amending the date for compliance with certain regulations for establishments in operation as of October 31, 2003.

Analysis

File Number 030511, passed October 14, 2003 and effective October 31, 2003, prescribes license regulations for 24-hour establishments.  An noncodified provision of the ordinance specified that "all 24-hour establishments…as created in s. 84-7 in operation as of October 31, 2003 shall apply for a 24-hour  establishment license no later than March 1, 2004 and…comply with s. 84-7 no later than May 1, 2004."  This ordinance substitutes August 1, 2004 for the May 1, 2004 date.

Body

The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1.  Part 9 of File #030511, passed October 14, 2003 and effective October 31, 2003, relating to 24-hour establishment license regulations, is amended to read:

Part 9.  All 24-hour establishments as defined in s. 84-7-2 as created in s. 84-7 in operation as of October 31, 2003 shall apply for a 24-hour establishment license no later than March 1, 2004 and shall comply with s. 84-7 no later than [[May 1]]
