Analysis
This resolution authorizes and directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a Permanent Easement Agreement with Milwaukee County as part of the improvement of South 6th Street from West Ohio Avenue to West Hayes Avenue. The proposed roadway design includes a bus passenger loading area to be located south of West Dakota Street on land owned by Milwaukee County. This paving project is funded with 80%with Federal/State Aid under the Surface Transportation Program (STP). We have requested, and the County has agreed to grant the City a permanent easement on this land at no cost to the City.
Body
Whereas, The City has an executed project agreement with WISDOT for the reconstruction of South 6th Street from West Ohio Avenue to West Hayes Avenue with 80% Federal/State Aid; and

Whereas, The proposed roadway design includes a bus passenger loading area to be located south of West Dakota Street on land owned by Milwaukee County; and

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee has requested and Milwaukee County has agreed to grant the City a permanent easement on this land with no cost to the City; and

Whereas, The City Attorney has reviewed and approved the draft agreement; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Commissioner of Public Works is hereby authorized and directed to execute a Permanent Highway Easement Agreement with the Milwaukee County as part of the improvement of South 6th Street between West Ohio Avenue and West Hayes Avenue, a copy of which is attached to Common Council Resolution File Number 040619, and is incorporated in this reso...
