Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Public Library to apply for a Books2Go-Libros para Llevar Grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction. The purpose of the project is to provide outreach services to Latino children and to educate parents and child care providers on the benefits of the library and the importance of reading.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction to provide outreach services to Latino children and to educate parents and child care providers on the benefits of the library and the importance of reading; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction is authorized.
