ANLS:

This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for the Lead Smart Schools Grant from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The purpose of the grant is to support four distinct lead poisoning prevention awareness initiatives in targeted high-risk neighborhoods.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development to support four distinct lead poisoning prevention awareness initiatives in targeted high-risk neighborhoods; now therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is authorized.
