Analysis

Common Council Resolution Number 000019, adopted May 19, 2000 directed the City Comptroller to establish accounts for preliminary engineering for the Kinnickinnic River Bicycle Trail project.  This resolution authorizes expenditures to cover the shortfall for preliminary engineering.  The additional funds will be funded by the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) grant, with the local share being funded by Department of Public Works funds.

Body

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution Number 000019 on May 19, 2000 which established funding for preliminary engineering for the Kinnickinnic River Bicycle Trail project totaling $85,000; and

Whereas, The design contract for the new Chase Avenue bicycle bridge negotiated with Bloom Consultants is in the amount of $126,300; and

Whereas, The CMAQ grant allows us to transfer construction funds to preliminary engineering accounts; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the City Comptroller is directed to transfer into the previously established preliminary engineering accounts for the Kinnickinnic River Bicycle Trail project the following amounts:
