This resolution approves the transfer of $5,500 from the Municipal Art Fund to a Subaccount for an award to the Milwaukee Public Library Foundation for art to be installed in the new Children's Library.
BODY:
Whereas, Section 2-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances provides for the setting aside of funds for works of art to be placed in City buildings and public facilities; and
Whereas, The Milwaukee Arts Board is recommending that funds be used for art to be installed in the new Children's Library sponsored by the Milwaukee Public Library Foundation; and
Whereas, The aforementioned art will be displayed in appropriate areas of the new Children's Library; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that funds in the amount of $5,500 be transferred from the Municipal Art Fund Parent Purpose Account No. 31-002-0001 to Subaccount No. 31-002-1810 for the award to the Milwaukee Public Library Foundation.
