This resolution authorizes the sale of a vacant, tax deed lot owned by the City of Milwaukee.
BODY:
Whereas, The adjoining owner, Second House of Prayer, with their property located at 3110-12 North 27th Street, has offered to purchase the vacant, tax deed lot located at 3106-08 North 27th Street, Tax Roll Key No. 285-1602-100-6, from the City of Milwaukee containing 2,849 square feet for use as green space for $1,424.50; and
Whereas, Second House of Prayer has been informed, in writing, that if this parcel were to be used for parking no curb cut to North 27th Street will be permitted; and
Whereas, The other adjoining owner was notified of the availability of this vacant lot but has not responded to our offer letters; and
Whereas, This vacant, tax deed lot is being sold in an "as is" condition; and
Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the acceptance of said Offer, the sale of said lot to be consummated in the manner provided for in the sale of other tax deed lots pursuant to Section 304-49 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said lot is declared surplus, said Offer is accepted, and the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required to consummate the sale of said lot and that the proceeds be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 02-211-2700.
