Title
A substitute ordinance relating to the city's code of ethics and the disclosure of economic interests.

Analysis
This ordinance makes the following changes to the city's code of ethics with respect to the filing of information on the statement of economic interests:

1. Disclosure of an association with any nonprofit organization.

2. Disclosure of real property located in Milwaukee county and the 4 counties surrounding it, instead of real property in the state of Wisconsin.

3. Disclosure of income from a corporation taxed under subchapter C of the internal revenue code.

In addition, the ethics board shall be notified upon introduction of a common council file to create a board or commission so that it may consider recommending that nominees to that board or commission file a statement of economic interests.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:

Part 1. Section 303-13-1-c of the code is repealed.

(Note: The provisions being repealed read as follows:

303-13. Form of Statement.

1. c. Any nonprofit organization which is formed exclusively for social purposes and any nonprofit community service organization.)

Part 2. Section 303-13-1-d of the code is renumbered 303-13-1-c.

Part 3. Section 303-13-4 of the code is amended to read:

4. The real property located [[in Wisconsin]] >>in the counties of Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Washington and Waukesha<< in which the individual who is required to file or such individual's immediate family hold an interest, other than the principal residence of the individual or his or her immediate family, and the nature of the interest held.
