Substitute resolution approving Three Year Harbor Development Statement of Intentions for the Port of Milwaukee.
Analysis:
This resolution would approve the 2001-2003 Harbor Development Statement of Intentions for the Port of Milwaukee, to facilitate application for State and/or Federal Grant funds.
Body:
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said Common Council hereby ratifies and approves The Wisconsin Department of Transportation, in accord with State Statute, a required Statement of Project Intentions from local units of government intending to apply for Federal and/or State aid for harbor-related work of benefit to commercial transportation within the next three years; and

Further Resolved, The Three-Year Harbor Development Statement of Intentions attached to this resolution describes proposed improvements which are in the best interest of the Port of Milwaukee, City of Milwaukee; and

Further Resolved, The Port of Milwaukee has carefully reviewed the estimated project costs, funding sources, physical location and alternatives to the proposed projects; and

Further Resolved, This Three Year Harbor Development Statement of Intentions is used by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for planning purposes only and is not a petition for Federal and/or State aid; and

Further Resolved, The Board of Harbor Commissioners approved the Three-Year Harbor Development Statement of Intentions at its meeting of January 23, 2001; and

Further Resolved, All projects included in the three-year program are contingent upon future Common Council approval of each project prior to proceeding with the project; now, therefore, be it
