Substitute resolution authorizing the Health Department to accept a $100,000 donation from the Northwestern Mutual Foundation.

Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Health Department to accept a $100,000 donation from the Northwestern Mutual Foundation to support COVID-19 vaccination clinics in the Amani, Metcalfe Park and other vulnerable Milwaukee neighborhoods.

 

Body

Whereas, Section 304-24 of the City of Milwaukee Code of Ordinances regulates the receipt, appropriation, and expenditure of contributions received by the City; and

 

Whereas, The Northwestern Mutual Foundation has approved a donation of $100,000 for the Milwaukee Health Department to support COVID-19 vaccination clinics in the Amani, Metcalfe Park and other vulnerable Milwaukee neighborhoods; now therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Milwaukee Health Department is authorized to accept and expend a $100,000 donation from the Northwestern Mutual Foundation; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That upon receipt and deposit of these funds, the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to establish a revenue account and a Dxxx class special account within the budget for the expenditure of the contribution; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer up to $100,000 from the Contribution Fund-General, account number 0001-2110-D001-006300 to the Health Department’s 0001-3810-Dxxx 001-006300 Special Account to support COVID-19 vaccination clinics in the Amani, Metcalfe Park and other vulnerable Milwaukee neighborhoods.
