Analysis
This ordinance provides that, for certain regulatory purposes, the maximum size of a “convenience food store” shall be 7,500 square feet rather than the current 5,000 square feet.
Body
The Mayor and Common Council of the City of Milwaukee do ordain as follows:
Part 1. Section 68-1-11-a of the code is amended to read:
68-1. Definitions.
11. CONVENIENCE FOOD STORE
a. Contains less than [[5,000]] >>7,500<< square feet of retail sales space, has, as its primary business, the sale of basic food items, and sells household products.
Part 2. Section 84-7-2-a of the code is amended to read:
84-7. Extended Hours Establishments.
2. DEFINITIONS:
a. “Convenience store” shall have the meaning set forth in s. [[68-1-6-a]] >>68-1-11<<.
