Analysis
This resolution authorizes the conveyance of the Anna Rohmann Revocable Trust D12-15-2009 owned lot at 2948-A North 30th Street to the City of Milwaukee, to assemble area land for marketing for future new home construction, according to the conditions in a Land Acquisition Report pursuant to Section 304-49, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.

Whereas, The Anna Rohmann Revocable Trust D12-15-2009 has been the owner of the residential vacant lot in the Amani neighborhood, since at least prior to January 1, 1979; and
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee (“City”) already owns seven adjacent lots in the 2900 block of North 30th Street; and
Whereas, The heirs of the Anna Rohmann Revocable Trust D12-15-2009 have contacted the City asking if they could donate the property to the City of Milwaukee; and
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee accepting this property donation would allow for land consolidation and control of the full site, in order to better market the adjacent City owned lots to developers for new residential construction, as summarized in a Land Acquisition Report (“LAR”) and a Due Diligence Checklist (“DDC”), copies of which are attached to this Common Council File; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the LAR and DDC are approved and that the Department of City Development (“DCD”) is authorized to accept the donation of 2948-A North 30th Street; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the Commissioner of DCD, or designee, is authorized to sign the deed and requisite closing documents and to close the transaction and to take such actions as may be needed to effectuate the terms of the LAR and DDC and this resolution.
