Resolution granting permission to the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to keep and maintain three groundwater monitoring wells in the public right-of-way of West Pierce Street, in the vicinity of 1333 West Pierce Street.
BODY:
Whereas, It has been deemed necessary to conduct an environmental assessment for a site located at 1333 West Pierce Street to determine chemical product migrational patterns; and
Whereas, It has been determined that, in addition to the proposed monitoring wells needed to be placed on private property, three locations need to be located within the public right-of-way for extended periods of time; and
Whereas, These three monitoring wells may only legally remain in the public right-of-way by the Common Council granting approval; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, 2300 North Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive, P.O. Box 12436, Milwaukee, WI 53212-0436 is hereby granted the following permission:
To place, keep and/or maintain three flush-mounted monitoring wells in the vicinity of 1333 West Pierce Street located as follows: three monitoring wells are or are proposed to be located in the south sidewalk area of West Pierce Street, approximately 5 feet north of the southline of West Pierce Street and 250, 390 and 552 feet west of the westline of North 12th Street.
