Whereas, The Judiciary and Legislation Committee of the Common Council has recommended the following position on the bills hereinafter listed and the Common Council being advised of said matters; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that it hereby opposes the following legislative bills and instructs the Division of Intergovernmental Relations to appear before the proper committees to oppose these bills and use its best endeavors to have them not enacted into law, viz:

LRB-5894/2                                          

Relating to: terms of office for certain appointed local officers.

AB-966/SB-963                                           

Relating to: reorganizing the Milwaukee Public School System into four to eight school districts and creating a Milwaukee Public Schools Redistricting and Implementation Commission.
