This resolution authorizes the Milwaukee Water Works to grant permission to the Village of Menomonee Falls to provide water service to three adjoining properties in the Village of Butler that cannot be practically served by either the Milwaukee Water Works or the Village of Butler.
BODY:
Whereas, The Village of Butler has adopted a resolution requesting the Village of Menomonee Falls to provide water service to three properties in Butler that cannot be conveniently served by Butler; and
Whereas, The Village of Menomonee Falls, a wholesale customer of the Milwaukee Water Works, is agreeable to serve the three properties in Butler; and
Whereas, The agreement between the City of Milwaukee and the Village of Menomonee Falls for the purchase of water at wholesale provides that Menomonee Falls may not sell or exchange water outside its corporate limits without permission of Milwaukee; and
Whereas, It is understood that providing water to these three properties does not constitute a precedent by which Menomonee Falls would provide water service to other properties in Butler; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Milwaukee Water Works is hereby authorized to grant permission to the Village of Menomonee Falls to provide water service to the following properties in the Village of Butler: 13175 West Silver Spring Road 13201 West Silver Spring Road Vacant parcel abutting 13201 West Silver Spring Road on the west and extending for 175-foot frontage on Silver Spring Road.
