Analysis

This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for the Circle of Friends Grant Project from the American Legacy Foundation.  The purpose of the project is to highlight women in the United States and to emphasize the importance of a support system for those who want to quit smoking.   

BODY:

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the American Legacy Foundation to highlight women in the United States and to emphasize the importance of a support system for those who want to quit smoking; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the American Legacy Foundation is authorized.
