Analysis
This resolution directs the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a State/Municipal Agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation for the construction of Fond du Lac Avenue (STH 145); Grantosa, Flagg, and Florist Bridges. The State/Municipal Agreement provides for 90 percent Federal and State aid and 10 percent local cost sharing for utility costs. The total estimated cost of this project is $4,960,000 with a grantor share of $4,954,000 and a City share of $6,000. This resolution also directs the City Comptroller to transfer funds for utility construction at an estimated cost of $60,000 with an estimated City share of $6,000 and a grantor share of $54,000.

Whereas, A project agreement has been requested and received from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) to be executed by the City of Milwaukee for the construction of Fond du Lac Avenue (STH 145); Grantosa, Flagg, and Florist Bridges, with Federal and State aid under the State Highway Rehabilitation Program; and

Whereas, The Department of Public Works shall notify the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee of project cost overruns and changes in scope approved by the Department of Public Works; and

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee recognizes that the City may be 100 percent liable for project cost overruns and changes in scope as approved by the Department of Public Works; and
