Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper city officers be and they hereby are authorized and directed to issue a city check in the total sum of $7,778.80 payable to Beverly Koch, 1728 East Iron Street, Milwaukee, WI 53207, to reimburse her for property damage; and, be it
Resolved, That members have taken testimony from the claimant and City representatives regarding this incident. Despite the recommendation of the City Attorney's Office, members of the Committee believe it is most cost-effective to compromise and reduce the amount claimed from $20,844.80 to $7,778.80, which represents the cash value of the automobile and includes $602.86 for towing charges and $1,921.00 for cost of a rental car. This resolution would release the City from any further liability arising from this incident; and, be it
Further Resolved, That the check is to be delivered upon presentation of a proper release, approved by the City Attorney; said amount to be charged to Account No. 636505, Fund - 0001, Organization - 1490, Program - 2631, Sub Class - S118.
