Analysis

This resolution approves an extension to the Option to Purchase for 1027 North Edison Street.  This resolution extends the time to exercise the Option until May 31, 2002.

Body

Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee under File No. 000326, adopted June 30, 2000, approved an Option to Purchase for the property located at 1027 North Edison Street with River Tower Associates, L.P.; and

Whereas, River Tower Associates, L.P., has requested an extension of time to exercise the Option until May 31, 2002; and

Whereas, The Common Council desires to extend the Option until May 31, 2002; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Option to Purchase for 1027 North Edison Street be amended to extend the time to exercise said Option until May 31, 2002; and, be it

Further Resolved, That all other terms and conditions of the Option to Purchase as approved under File No. 000326 remain unchanged; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Commissioner of City Development and all other City officials, departments, boards and commissions are authorized and directed to take such steps and to provide such assistance as is necessary, including the execution of an amendment to said Option, in accord with the intent and purpose of this resolution.
