-ANALYSIS-
This resolution authorizes the proper City officers to execute a one-year lease with The Tannery for spaces 1 through 47 of the off-street parking lot located at 517 West Florida Street for the use of employees and visitors. __________________________________________________________
BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee owns the off-street parking lot located at 517 West Florida Street; and
Whereas, Spaces 1 through 47 of this parking lot have previously been leased out, and the former lessee is no longer interested in continuing this lease; and
Whereas, The Tannery, located at 600 West Virginia Street, adjacent to this lot, has requested to lease these spaces for a one-year term beginning on the first day of January 1998, at a rental rate of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) per month; and
Whereas, The leased premises will be used to accommodate employees and visitors at The Tannery; and
Whereas, There is sufficient off-street public parking in this area, and no additional public parking needs have been identified for these premises; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officers are hereby authorized to enter into a one-year lease with The Tannery, beginning on the first day of January, 1998, and ending on the thirty first day of December 1998, with two one (1) year extensions permitted at the option of the City, for the off-street parking lot located at 517 West Florida Street, spaces 1 through 47, at the rental rate of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) per month.
