Analysis
This resolution approves a revised 2009 Operating Plan for Business Improvement District No. 29 (Atkinson Capitol Teutonia). The revised plan reflects a change in the organization responsible for management of the BID, as well as related changes in the BID’s budget.
Body
Whereas, On November 6, 2002, the Common Council adopted File Number 020831, a resolution creating Business Improvement District No. 29 (Atkinson Capitol Teutonia) and approving its first-year Operating Plan; and

Whereas, On October 29, 2008, the Common Council adopted File Number 080620, a resolution approving the Year 2009 Operating Plans for various business improvement districts, including BID No. 29; and

Whereas, The operation of BID No. 29 provides a financing method to allow the Atkinson Capitol Teutonia business district to become self-sustaining; and

Whereas, BID No. 29 is a vital and integral part of the City of Milwaukee; and

Whereas, The board of BID No. 29 has submitted a revised 2009 (Year Seven) Operating Plan for BID No. 29, dated May 11, 2009, a copy of which is attached to this file; and

Whereas, The revised Operating Plan provides for BID No. 29 to be managed by the Northwest Side Community Development Corporation and changes the assessed total 2009 budget for the BID from $100,301 to $70,894; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the revised 2009 Operating Plan for Business Improvement District No. 29 (Atkinson Capitol Teutonia) dated May 11, 2009 is approved; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Treasurer, City Comptroller and other affected departments are directed to collect and disburse BID No. 29 assessments in accordance with the adopted,...
