Body
Whereas, The 4th aldermanic district representative and other residents of the 4th aldermanic district are concerned with the proliferation of residential treatment facilities and group homes, specifically a group home with 30 units at 3120-28 West Wisconsin Avenue; and

Whereas, The group home at 3120-28 West Wisconsin Avenue is operated by the Salvation Army for persons seeking rehabilitation services for alcohol and other drug addiction (AODA); and

Whereas, The 4th aldermanic district representative and other residents of the 4th aldermanic district were opposed to BOZA granting a special use permit for the 30 units; and

Whereas, The 4th aldermanic district representative, in his official capacity, hired Joseph Niebler, Jr., of the law firm of Niebler & Muren, S.C. to represent the 4th aldermanic district representative and residents of the 4th aldermanic district in an appeal of the BOZA decision in Milwaukee County Circuit Court; and

Whereas, The 4th aldermanic district representative, and the affected property owners: Blankstein Enterprises, Wiegard Enterprises, and West End Development Corporation each paid $900 to the law firm, an amount initially expected to be sufficient to complete the lawsuit; and

Whereas, The lawsuit required more hours than anticipated, resulting in an outstanding balance of $ 3,313.50 owed to the law firm; now, therefore, be it
