This resolution directs the Department of City Development to prepare a resolution which vacates the above public alleys and street in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 66.297(1), Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 81-308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
BODY:
Whereas, It has been proposed by the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee that all the alleys and North 24th Place in the blocks bounded by West North Avenue, North 25th Street, West Meinecke Avenue and North 24th Street be vacated pursuant to the provisions of Section 66.297 of the Wisconsin Statutes; and
Whereas, The vacation of these alleys and street is necessary for the Redevelopment Authority to sell the property in this area for redevelopment; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is directed to prepare a resolution to vacate said public right-of-way in accordance with Section 81-308-28 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances.
