- Analysis - This substitute resolution authorizes the transfer of $150,000 from the Traser Yard Storm Water subaccount, 31-752-0473, to an account for the construction of a detention pond to serve the City owned property located south of West Lincoln Avenue from South 35th Street to South 43rd Street, also known as Lincoln Yards.


BODY:
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee is expanding the Tow Lot operations at the City owned property located south of West Lincoln Avenue between South 35th Street and South 43rd Street, also known as Lincoln Yards; and

Whereas, The construction of a detention pond is part of the Tow Lot expansion to provide the required storm water management for the site; and

Whereas, The Common Council adopted Resolution Number 960211 on June 25, 1996, which authorized the construction of the detention pond to serve the Lincoln Yards property; and

Whereas, A portion of the cost to construct this detention pond was to be funded using a Department of Natural Resources' (DNR) Priority Watershed Nonpoint Source Grant; and

Whereas, The DNR is not able to fund this project at this time due to their budget shortfall; and

Whereas, There is $150,000 available in the Traser Yard Storm Water subaccount which can be used to cover a portion of the Nonpoint Source Grant funding; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer $150,000 from the Traser Yard Storm Water subaccount 31-752-0473 to the Expansion of Capacity Sewer Suspense Account 31-170-0002.
