This resolution declares vacant lots surplus and authorizes their sale to the Milwaukee Housing Assistance Corporation for construction of owner-occupied homes.
BODY:
Whereas, The Milwaukee Housing Assistance Corporation, in cooperation with the National Manufactured Housing Institute, wishes to acquire the following vacant, tax deed lots for $1.00 each to construct three residential units for owner-occupants:

1731-33 North 18th Street, TK No. 351-3539-100-8

1735 North 18th Street, TK No. 351-3538-6

1739 and 1739A North 18th Street, TK No. 351-3536-5 and No. 351-3537-0

1741-43 North 18th Street, TK No. 351-3535-X

1745 North 18th Street, TK No. 351-3534-100-0

; and

Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the sale of said vacant lots to be consummated in the manner provided for in Section 304-49 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the Department of City Development is authorized and directed to sell said surplus, vacant, tax deed lots to the Milwaukee Housing Assistance Corporation for $1.00 each; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required to consummate the sale; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the Commissioner of the Department of City Development is authorized and directed to close the sale upon receipt of site and building plans which are acceptable in terms of architectural detail and neighborhood compatibility.
