THE CHAIR questioned whether all members of the Common Council had read the report, transcript and recommendations by the Utilities and Licenses Committee.
ALD. NARDELLI moved for separate action on recommendation of nonrenewal of the Class "D" Bartender License of Nathan A. Pfefferkorn.
Ayes: 16 - Ald. Pratt, D'Amato, Henningsen, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Frank, Richards, Butler, Scherbert, Witkowiak, Pawlinski, Breier, Nardelli, Murphy, Hines and Ald. Kalwitz.
Noes: 0.
Excused: 1 - Ald. Schramm.
THE CHAIR asked for a roll call vote on those members who read the recommendation for the bartender:
Ayes: 15 - Ald. Pratt, D'Amato, Henningsen, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Frank, Richards, Butler, Scherbert, Witkowiak, Pawlinski, Breier, Murphy, Hines and President Kalwitz.
Noes: 1 - Ald. Nardelli.
Excused: 1 - Ald. Schramm.

Kathy J. Kuczewski and her counsel were present and wished to appear.
ALD. PAWLINSKI moved that the Common Council do now resolve itself into a Committee of the Whole for the purpose of hearing from Attorney Jeff Scott Olson relative to the foregoing matter.

Attorney Jeff Scott Olson and Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf appeared and addressed the committee relative to the foregoing matter.
ALD. BUTLER moved that the committee do now rise.
The motion prevailed.
ALD. PAWLINSKI read a letter from Kathy Kuczewski to himself to reassure of her intention, and for the record, presented a list of 42 neighbors expressing their objections.

Mikhail Kleyman and his Counsel was present and wished to appear.
ALD. WITKOWIAK moved that the Common Council do now resolve itself into a committee of the Whole for the purpose of hearing from Edward N. David and Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf.
PROCEEDING OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
Attorney Edward David and Assistant Bruce Schrimpf appeared and addressed the committee relative to the foregoing matter.
ALD. D'Amato moved the Committee do now rise.
ALD. PRATT moved to grant the license of Mikhail Kleyman notwithstanding the Utilities and Licenses recommendations.
The motion failed by the following vote:
Ayes: 8 - Ald. Pratt, Henningsen, Johnson-Odom, Pawlinski, Nardelli, Murphy, Hines and President Kalwitz.
Noes: 8 - Ald. D'Amato, Gordon, Frank, Richards, Butler, Scherbert, Witkowiak and Breier.
Excused: 1 - Ald. Schramm.

ALD. HINES moved that the Common Council do now resolve itself into a committee of the Whole for the purpose of hearing from Attorney John Birdsall and Assistant City Attorney Bruce Schrimpf.

ALD. GORDON moved the Committee do now rise.
ALD. PRATT moved to grant the license of Zarko Zigich notwithstanding the Utilities and Licenses recommendations.
The motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: 12 - Ald. Pratt, D'Amato, Henningsen, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Frank, Richards, Scherbert, Breier, Nardelli, Hines and President Kalwitz.
Noes: 4 - Ald. Butler, Witkowiak, Pawlinski and Murphy.
Excused: 1 - Ald. Schramm.
Nathan A. Pfefferkorn was not present.
ALD. GORDON moved for nonrenewal of Mr. Pfefferkorn's bartender license.
Ayes: 15 - Ald. Pratt, D'Amato, Henningsen, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Frank, Richards, Butler, Scherbert, Witkowiak, Pawlinski, Breier, Murphy, Hines and Kalwitz.
Noes: 2 - Ald. Schramm and Nardelli.

The motion prevailed.
