Substitute resolution amending Common Council File 981070 relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Medical Assistance Grant.
ANLS:
This resolution amends Common Council File 981070 relative to the Medical Assistance Grant. The purpose of the grant is to increase the enrollment of eligible families in Medicaid and BadgerCare. This resolution is a substitution for the prior resolution because the State contract amended a prior contract and award amount rather than creating a new contract.
BODY:
Whereas, Common Council File 981070 authorized the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Medical Assistance Grant from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services for the purpose of increasing the enrollment of eligible families in Medicaid and BadgerCare. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $ 71,858; and
Whereas, The Grantor share for this program is increased by $37,500; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept such a grant without further Common Council approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 940843 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to commit funds within Project/Grant Parent 1999 Special Revenue Grant and Aid Projects fund, the following amount for the project titled Medical Assistance Grant:
