-Analysis-

This substitute resolution approves the City Group Life Insurance Contract for 1998-2003 between the City of Milwaukee and United Wisconsin Group ("UWG"). _______________________________________________________

BODY:

Whereas, The City has solicited proposals for the City's Group Life Insurance Contract for 1998-2003; and

Whereas, The City has retained a consultant to evaluate fee proposals and the consultant has rated UWG as having the best proposal; and

Whereas, The Secretary and Executive Director of the Employes' Retirement System and the City have recommended the Contract be awarded to UWG; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the agreement by and between UWG and the City, annexed to this file, be and hereby is approved and the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized to execute same on behalf of the City of Milwaukee.
