Whereas, The Common Council created a Milwaukee Historic Exhibit Work Group by Resolution File Number 100146, adopted July 7, 2010; and
Whereas, Resolution File Number 100146 directed that the work group submit its findings to the Common Council within 4 months of the adoption of the resolution; and
Whereas, Resolution File Number 101121, adopted December 21, 2010, extended the activities of the work group to May 1, 2011; and
Whereas, Resolution File Number 110123, adopted May 24, 2011, further extended the activities of the work group to August 1, 2011; and
Whereas, Resolution File Number 110125, adopted July 26, 2011, directed City departments to implement the recommendations of the work group and the acceptance and expenditure of up to $100,000 in private contributions for exhibit-related activities; and
Whereas, Businesses have shown interest in donating property items for exhibit-related activities; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Resolution File Number 110125, adopted July 26, 2011, is amended by adding the following “Further Resolved” clause:
“Further Resolved, That the City Clerk’s Office may accept private contributions of property up to a value of $100,000 for exhibit-related purposes.”
