Resolution approving the termination of agreements for furnishing water outside of city limits.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the termination and recording such termination of two agreements for the furnishing of water outside of city limits that were entered into between the City of Milwaukee and two private industrial consumers of water on June 26, 1946 and November 1, 1947. These agreements are no longer operative, in that the City of Milwaukee does not provide water to either of the original signatories to the agreements, or their successors in interest, and has not for at least 25 years. This amendment will provide to the Superintendent of the City of Milwaukee Water Works the authority to administratively terminate these agreements.
Body
Whereas, The City of Milwaukee, and the General Elextric X-Ray Corporation of New York, entered into an agreement on June 26, 1946 for the provision of water service to a location then identified as being in the City of West Allis and the Town of Greenfield, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, lying between South 43rd Street and McGeogh Avenue, and immediately north of Lincoln Avenue, Plant No. 1 and Plant No. 2, said agreement having been recorded as Document No. 2646998; and

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee, and Hotpoint, Inc. entered into an agreement on November 1, 1947 for the provision of water service to a location then identified as 4769 West McGeogh Avenue, town of Greenfield, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin; said agreement having been recorded as Document No. 2768649; and

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee has not provided any water consistent with these agreements for at least 25 years; and

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee, and the successors in interest to the original parties to these agreements desire to terminate these agreement and to record those terminations; now, therefore, be it
