Title

Resolution authorizing payment of the claim of Vincent and Paulette Wollert and Progressive Home Insurance Company.

Analysis

This resolution authorizes payment to Progressive Home Insurance Company in the amount of $9,562.61 related to the claim of Vincent and Paulette Wollert. C.I. File No. 2025-001950.

Body

Whereas, the claimants, Vincent and Paulette Wollert, have filed a claim against the City of Milwaukee in the amount of $9,562.61 through their home owner’s insurance, arising from damages to a sanitary sewer lateral causing flooding and sewage backup on July 31, 2025; and

 

Whereas, the City Attorney recommends and the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee deems it expeditious and just to pay this claim; now, therefore, be it

 

Resolved, by the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a City check in the amount of $9,562.61, payable to American Strategic Insurance Corp., subrogee of (A/S/O) Paulette Wollert and Vincent, Wollert, Claim# 1541013, 2 ASI Way N, St. Petersburg FL, 33702 the order of as soon as practicable; and so be it

 

Further Resolved, that in compliance with the City Attorney’s direction, the proper City officers be and hereby are authorized and directed to issue a check, as soon as practicable, in full and final settlement of all claims arising from damage to a sanitary sewer lateral, to be charged as follows: to WATER DEPARTMENT ACCOUNT - 636506-Fund No. 0411-Organization 6411 -Program 2631-Sub class R643, and so be it

 

Further Resolved, that for and in consideration of the above-referenced payments, the claimant, by their representative(s) and/or attorney(s), will provide the city a release of any and all claims arising out of or in any way related to this incident.
