Minutes note: The Clerk swore in the Court Reporter:
Recommendation of a 90-day suspension in lieu of the revocation of the Class "B" Tavern and Tavern Dance license of Dewayne Quinn for the premises at 7964 W. Appleton Avenue ("Wayne's On Appleton") in the 5th Aldermanic District. Written objections have not been filed by the licensee. (Committee Vote: 5 Ayes; 0 Noes; Expiration Date: (6/30/02).
The President questioned whether the members of the Common Council read the Report and Recommendations of the Utilities and Licenses Committee in this matter and any written exceptions, if filed by the licensee?
Ayes: 15 - Ald. Herron, D'Amato, Henningsen, Bohl, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Donovan, Richards, Cameron, Scherbert, Sanchez, Pawlinski, Breier, Nardelli, Murphy and President Pratt.
Excused: 1 - Ald. Hines.
Noes: 0.
THE CLERK asked whether the applicant, complainants or their counsel were present and wished to address the Council.
A complainant Pamela Johnson was present.
ALD. GORDON moved that the Common Council do now resolve itself into a committee of the Whole for the purpose of hearing from Ms. Pamela Johnson, Complainant relative to the foregoing matter.
PROCEEDINGS OF THE COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
Ms. Pamela Johnson, complainant appeared and addressed the committee relative to ther foregoing matter.
ALD. GORDON moved that the Committee do now rise.
The motion prevailed.
ALD. PAWLINSKI moved to revoke the Class "B" Tavern and Tavern Dance License issued to Dewayne Quinn for the premises located at 7964 West Appleton avenue, notwithstanding the recommendation of the Utilities and Licenses Committee to suspend the license for 90 days.
The motion prevailed by the following vote:
Ayes: 14 - Ald. Herron, D'Amato, Henningsen, Johnson-Odom, Gordon, Donovan, Richards, Cameron, Sanchez, Pawlinski, Breier, Nardelli, Murphy, and President Pratt.
Excused: 2 - Ald. Bohl and Hines.
ALD. PAWLINSKI moved for adoption of File 011380 as amended.
