Analysis

This resolution vacates the above portion of street in accordance with vacation proceedings under power granted to the City of Milwaukee by Section 66.297(1), Wisconsin Statutes, and Section 81-308-28, Milwaukee Code of Ordinances. This portion of street is no longer necessary since a new public North-South alley will be constructed adjacent to the Marquette University high school playfield. The construction of the new alley is one component of the overall plan to improve The Valley/Pigsville neighborhood.
