The purpose of this resolution is to initiate a vacation proceeding under power granted to the City by Sec. 66.297(1), Wis. Stats. _______________________________________________________
BODY:
Whereas, It is proposed that a portion of East Ogden Avenue from the intersection of North Farwell Avenue and North Franklin Avenue to North Prospect Avenue be vacated by Common Council resolution pursuant to the provisions of Section 66.297 of the Wisconsin Statutes; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, as follows:
1. That the City Engineer be and hereby is authorized and directed to prepare a map and legal description showing the portion of street to be vacated and the property ownership abutting thereon and forward the same to the City Plan Commission and the City Attorney's Office for further action;
2. That the City Attorney's Office be and hereby is authorized and directed to commence circulation of the usual coordinated report appropriate in street vacations to the various departments and that when the same is completed it be forwarded to the City Plan Commission;
3. That in such coordinated report each department estimate and set forth any charges or costs that will be incurred by the City of Milwaukee as a result of street vacations;
4. That the City Attorney be and hereby is authorized and directed to prepare and file the necessary notice of Lis Pendens as required under the laws of the State of Wisconsin;
