Substitute resolution approving an amendment to the agreement between the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District and the City of Milwaukee relating to tunnel rescue services.

Analysis

This resolution approves the attached amendment to the agreement entered between the City of Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District to provide tunnel rescue services by the Fire Department as approved by Common Council Resolution File Number 000192.  The amendment extends the contract for one year and increases the contract dollar amount from $652,220 to $717,442.

Body

Whereas, On September 22, 2000, the Common Council adopted Resolution File Number 000192, approving an agreement between the City of Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District relating to tunnel rescue services provided by the Fire Department; and

Whereas, The parties desire to extend the agreement for a term of one year, increasing the contract dollar amount from $652,220 to $717,442; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to execute the attached amendment to the contract entered between the City of Milwaukee and the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, relating to the provision of tunnel services provided by the Fire Department and approved by the Common Council in Resolution File Number 000192 adopted on September 22, 2000.
