This resolution complies with the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances, Section 304-28.5(4a), which authorizes a transfer from the Environmental Remediation Subfund to a miscellaneous revenue account.
BODY:
Whereas, The Environmental Testing and Remediation Subfund created by Ordinance 304-28.5 states that the specific level of Subfund transfers for a particular fiscal year shall be authorized by Common Council resolution adopted in conjunction with the annual budgetary process; and
Whereas, Such resolution shall authorize and direct the City Comptroller to transfer an amount, up to the amount available in the Subfund, to a miscellaneous revenue account; and
Whereas, Expenditures of amounts transferred shall be authorized by a special purpose account and expended in accordance with the annual City Budget; and
Whereas, As of December 31, 1997, the Environmental Remediation Subfund had an available balance of $325,074.18 to fund the 1998 special purpose account budget; and
Whereas, The 1998 City Budget has appropriated $210,000 in a special purpose account; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that the City Comptroller is authorized and directed to transfer from the Environmental Remediation Subfund to Miscellaneous General Fund Revenue, Account No. 01-191-9990, an amount of $210,000 for 1998.
