Substitute resolution relative to application, acceptance and funding of the Federally Qualified Health Center Grant.
Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund the Federally Qualified Health Center Grant project from the Human Resources and Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in the amount of $1,114,340 provided by the grantor. The purpose of the program is to serve the medically underserved citizens and at-risk community members of the City of Milwaukee.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the Human Resources and Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to serve the medically underserved citizens and at-risk community members of the City of Milwaukee; and
Whereas, The operation of this grant project from 09/16/05 to 09/15/06 would cost $1,114,340 provided by the grantor; now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the Human Resources and Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 030712 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it
Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to:
1. Commit funds within the Project/Grant Parent of the 2005 Special Revenue Grant and Aid Projects Fund, the following amount for the project titled Federally Qualified Health Center Grant:
