Whereas, On September 23, 1997, the Common Council adopted File Number 970778, a resolution creating Business Improvement District No. 19 (Villard Avenue); and

Whereas, Section 66.1109(5)(b), Wis. Stats., provides that a municipality may terminate a business improvement district at any time; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that Business Improvement District No. 19 (Villard Avenue) is terminated; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That, pursuant to s. 66.1109(4), Wis. Stats., the proper City officials are authorized and directed to return all special assessments collected by the City and remaining in the Business Improvement District No. 19 account to the owners of specially-assessed property in the District, in the same proportion as the last collected special assessment.
