- Analysis - This resolution will approve and authorize the execution of a stipulation with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation and the Soo Line Railroad Company for the reconstruction and maintenance of the West Cherry Street overpass of the railroad tracks west of N. 30th Street.
BODY:
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution File Number 920150 on June 16, 1992 authorizing and directing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute a program agreement with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WISDOT) for programming the reconstruction of the West Cherry Street Overpass structure of the Soo Line Railroad Company track west of N. 30th Street with Federal and/or State Aid funds under the Bridge Replacement Program; and
Whereas, Negotiations for a stipulation regarding the reconstruction and maintenance of the overpass have taken place between the Soo Line Railroad Company and the WISDOT which acted on behalf of the City of Milwaukee; and
Whereas, The WISDOT has forwarded a draft stipulation document to the City of Milwaukee for approval for execution, now, therefore, be it
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that the stipulation between the City of Milwaukee, the WISDOT and the Soo Line Railroad Company, for the reconstruction and maintenance of the West Cherry Street Overpass structure of the Soo Line Railroad tracks west of N. 30th Street hereby approved, a draft copy of which is attached to Common Council Resolution File Number 971264 and incorporated i...
