A substitute resolution relative to application for funding of the Community Recreational Water Quality Assessment Grant.

This resolution would authorize the Health Department to apply for the Community Recreational Water Quality Assessment Grant from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. The primary objective of the project is to develop a public health risk assessment model related to water quality at City of Milwaukee public beaches and provide meaningful, time-relevant and health-based information to the users of the beach throughout the swimming season.

Whereas, The City of Milwaukee appears to be eligible for grant funds from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for developing a public health risk assessment model related to water quality at City of Milwaukee public beaches and providing meaningful, time-relevant and health-based information to the users of the beach throughout the swimming season; now, therefore, be it
 
Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is authorized.
