Analysis
Midtown Center is located on the redeveloped site of the former Capitol Court Shopping Center located in the area bounded by West Capitol Drive, West Congress Street, West Fond du Lac Avenue, North 55th Street and North 60th Street. This development has buildings that front on an internal road system. By the City recognizing the private roads, known as West Hope Avenue and North 56th Street, addresses can be assigned from these private roads to support mail delivery and emergency responses. The purpose of this resolution is to authorize the naming of West Hope Avenue and North 56th Street as private roads.

Whereas, Midtown Center, located in the area bounded by West Capitol Drive, West Congress Street, West Fond du Lac Avenue, North 55th Street and North 60th Street, has an internal road system to support traffic circulation within the shopping center; and

Whereas, By the City recognizing West Hope Avenue and North 56th Street as private roads, building addresses can be assigned to support mail delivery and emergency service responses; and

Whereas, Chapter 113-1 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances, which provides for the naming of private roadways, will be complied with in that this road will be marked with brown street name signs and described so that this road can be identified on the City's engineering quarter section; and

Whereas, As a condition of adopting this resolution Boulder Venture 9, LLC, the developer of Midtown Center, is responsible for placing these brown street signs at their cost as well ...
