Substitute resolution approving and accepting the granting of an easement and authorizing the proper City officers to execute an exclusive easement agreement to the Wisconsin Bell Telephone Company, d/b/a Ameritech Wisconsin, a Wisconsin Corporation to locate telephone facilities at Zablocki School property located at 1016 West Oklahoma Avenue.

Analysis

This resolution authorizes the proper City officers to accept and execute an easement to the Wisconsin Ameritech Company to install and maintain service over, across and under certain City-owned land.

Body

Whereas, In order to accomplish this service the Ameritech Wisconsin Company has submitted an easement agreement granting them the right to enter upon City-owned property held in trust for the Milwaukee Board of School Directors near 1016 West Oklahoma Avenue; and

Whereas, The terms of said easement agreement are set out and attached to this file and approved as to content by the City Engineer (upon presentation of an approvable final survey) and as to form by the Office of the City Attorney; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said easement agreement be and the same is hereby accepted, and the proper City officers be and they hereby are authorized and directed to execute the same on behalf of the City of Milwaukee after the City Engineer has approved the survey fixing the exact position of the easement; and, be it

Further Resolved, That after said easement agreement has been executed by the proper City officers, it shall be returned to the Office of the City Attorney for approval as to execution and proper distribution.
