Analysis
This resolution will approve and authorize the execution of a revised project agreement with the WISDOT for the reconstruction of West Highland Boulevard Bridge over the CP Rail tracks west of North 35th Street. The revised agreement includes real estate acquisition as an eligible cost.
Body
Whereas, The Common Council of the City of Milwaukee adopted Resolution File Number 86-1643 authorizing and directing the Commissioner of Public Works to execute an agreement with the WISDOT for programming the reconstruction of the West Highland Boulevard, CP Rail underpass with 80% Federal and/or State Aid funds under the Local Bridge Replacement Program; and

Whereas, This project agreement did not include a Real Estate phase; and

Whereas, The current bridge design calls for real estate acquisition for sloping easements and retaining walls reconstruction; and

Whereas, The City has requested and the WISDOT has submitted a Revised Project Agreement to include a Real Estate phase as a cost participating item (80%) for City execution; and

Whereas, Funding for real estate costs will be included in future resolutions; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, That the Revised Project Agreement for the replacement of the West Highland Boulevard Bridge over the CP Rail tracks is hereby approved, a copy of which is attached to Common Council File Number 030052; and incorporated in this resolution by reference as though set forth therein in full; and, be it
