Title

Resolution approving an Easement and Lease Agreement with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District.

Analysis

This resolution would approve an Easement and Lease Agreement with the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District for land purchased from West Shore Pipeline located at the southwest corner of East Bay Street and South Carferry Drive to run a landfill gas distribution system.  The initial term is for 25 years commencing February 13, 2012 and terminating on February 12, 2037 with an extension term of two successive periods of ten years each.

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said Common Council hereby ratifies and approves the Easement and Lease Agreement between the City of Milwaukee, by and through its Board of Harbor Commissioners and Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District for the term February 13, 2012 through February 12, 2037, and, be it

Further Resolved, That the designated officers of said government and said Board are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement to carry out this purpose as prepared by the City Attorney's office.
