Analysis
This resolution amends Common Council Resolution Number 070613 authorizing the Health Department to apply for, accept and fund a Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Grant project from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services in the amount of $658,993. The purpose of the project is to support comprehensive and coordinated service delivery to lead-poisoned children.
BODY
Whereas, Common Council File Number 070613 authorizes the Health department to apply for, accept and fund a Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Grant project from the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services for comprehensive and coordinated service delivery to lead-poisoned children. This grant provided for a Grantor share total of $658,993 and a City share total of $0; and

Whereas, The in-kind City share is increased by $307,014; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee, that application to the State of Wisconsin Division of Health and Family Services is authorized and the Health Department shall accept this grant without further approval unless the terms of the grant change as indicated in Common Council File 030712 (Grant Ordinance); and, be it

Further Resolved, That the City Comptroller is authorized to create the necessary Special Revenue Fund - Grant and Aid Project/Grant and Project Levels; budget to these Project/Grant values the amounts required under the grant agreement; and, be it

Further Resolved, That these funds are budgeted to the Health Department which is authorized to:
