Analysis
This resolution authorizes the Commissioner of Public Works to provide improved street lighting facilities in conjunction with the paving of W. Fond du Lac Avenue from N. 19th Street to N. 36th Street. Funding for the construction of the street lighting improvements is to be provided by the Wisconsin Department of Transportation under the Federally funded State Transportation Enhancement Program.
Body
Whereas, The State Transportation Enhancement Program provides cost participation for street lighting improvements and other streetscape amenities in conjunction with the paving of W. Fond du Lac Avenue (STH 145) from N. 19th Street to N. 36th Street; and

Whereas, Common Council Resolution File Number 001171 adopted on March 20, 2001 authorized and directed the Commissioner of Public Works to execute an agreement for programming and construction of the street lighting improvements and other streetscape enhancements along W. Fond du Lac Avenue from N. 19th Street to N. 36th Street with Federal/State Aid under the State Transportation Enhancement Program; and

Whereas, The total estimated cost of street lighting improvements included as part of this project is $486,300; and

Whereas, Eighty percent of the participating project cost, or $389,040, is reimbursable from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, and this amount is not included in Division accounts, and should be earmarked for this project in the 2001 Capital Grant and Aid Projects Fund Project/Grant Number SP032010100; now, therefore, be it
