This resolution authorizes the marketing and sale of a surplus-size, vacant, tax deed lot by the City of Milwaukee.
BODY:
Whereas, This vacant, tax deed lot is surplus to the City of Milwaukee's needs; and

Whereas, One of the three adjoining property owners has expressed an interest in purchasing this lot for use as green space; and

Whereas, An Urban Design Review recommended marketing this lot in parts to all three adjoining owners to the west, splitting it along the natural platted lines, for the amount of $1.00 each; and

Whereas, Each part of said lot will be combined with the adjoining owners current property so as to make their property and the additional part one; and

Whereas, All three sales must be closed at the same time thereby disposing of the full lot; and

Whereas, This vacant, tax deed lot will be sold in "as is" condition; and

Whereas, The City Plan Commission has approved the sale of said property to be consummated in the manner provided for in the sale of other tax deed property pursuant to Section 304-49 of the Milwaukee Code of Ordinances; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that sale of said vacant, tax-deed lot under the terms stated above is approved and that the proper City officials are authorized and directed to perform such acts as may be required to consummate the sale of said lot and that the proceeds be credited to the Reserve For Tax Deficit Fund Account No. 02-211-2700.
