Analysis
This resolution grants a special privilege to HTWA Market Project LLC to construct and maintain an open sided shelter for bicycle parking in the public right-of-way for the premises at 400 North Water Street.
Body
Whereas, The applicant is requesting permission to construct and maintain a roofed shelter for bicycle parking in the public right-of-way; and

Whereas, Several bicycle racks will be installed under the shelter, allowing for a significant amount of bicycle parking; and

Whereas, Said shelter may only legally encroach into the public right-of-way by granting of a special privilege resolution adopted by the Common Council; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that HTWA Market Project LLC, 400 North Water Street, Milwaukee, Wisconsin 53202, is hereby granted the following special privilege:

To construct and maintain a shelter for bicycle parking projecting 8 feet 4 inches into the west, 20-foot sidewalk area of North Broadway. Said shelter commences at a point approximately 40 feet north of northline of East St Paul Avenue and extends 31 feet to the north. The roofed shelter, which has open sides, is supported by six, 5-inch square steel posts bolted into the sidewalk pavement.

Said above-mentioned shelter shall be used, kept and maintained to the satisfaction of the Commissioners of Public Works and Department of Neighborhood Services.

Said shelter shall be maintained or removed from the public right-of-way, at such future time as they are no longer needed, to the satisfaction of the Commissioners of Public Works and Department of Neighborhood Services.
