Title

Resolution authorizing the sale of the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee to enter into a purchase and sale agreement with SOHI Corner, Inc., for the parking lot at 748 North 27th Street, in the 4th Aldermanic District.

 

Analysis

 

Body

This Resolution will permit the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee to convey said land according to the conditions in a Land Disposition Report.

 

Whereas, The Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee (“RACM”) acquired 748 North 27th Street in 2012 (the “Property”); and

 

Whereas, SOHI Corner Inc., (SOHI), is an abutting property owner that desires to purchase a portion of the RACM-owned parking lot at parking at 748 North 27th Street to expand its parking capacity for its tenants at 760 North 27th Street according to the attached Land Disposition Report; and

 

Whereas, SOHI has submitted plans to improve its expanded parking facilities with upgraded paving, fencing, landscaping, lighting and security; and

 

Whereas, On November 18, 2025, the Zoning and Neighborhood Development Committee of the Common Council approved the Land Disposition Report for 748 North 27th Street; and 

Whereas, The Authority held a public hearing to review plans and authorize the land sale on November 20, 2025 as required by Wisconsin Statutes; now therefore, be it

 

Resolved, By the Redevelopment Authority of the City of Milwaukee, that the Executive Director of RACM or designee, is authorized to negotiate and execute a purchase and sale agreement with SOHI for the parking lot at 748 North 27th Street; and, be it

 

Further Resolved, That the sale proceeds shall be credited to the RACM General Fund.
