Title

Resolution approving a Lease Agreement with the Michels Corporation.

Analysis

This resolution would approve a Lease Agreement with the Michels Corporation for approximately 7 acres of land located on the Port’s Grand Trunk Site. 

Body

Whereas, The Michels Corporation and the Port of Milwaukee have agreed to lease the property for use of a dockside reception and load out facility for common construction aggregate materials; and

Whereas, The Lease Agreement will commence on July 1, 2016 and terminate on June 30, 2021; now, therefore, be it

Resolved, By the Common Council of the City of Milwaukee that said Common Council hereby ratifies and approves the Amendment to Lease Agreement with Edward E. Gillen and the City of Milwaukee, by and through its Board of Harbor Commissioners for lease of approximately 7  acres of land located on the Grand Trunk Property; and, be it

Further Resolved, That the designated officers of said government and said Board are hereby authorized and directed to execute an agreement to carry out this purpose.
